These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Glypher app and the glypher.app website (together, "the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
Glypher is an app that translates and explains text shown on your device's screen (via a floating bubble and screen capture), lets you save those translations/explanations, and organize them into folders. The Service relies on third-party providers for translation (DeepL) and grammar explanations (Anthropic) — see the privacy policy for details.
Access to translation and explanation is governed by a credit system:
You agree not to:
The app, the "Glypher" name, and its content (excluding translations/explanations generated at your request) are protected by copyright and remain the property of the publisher — see the legal notice. Translations and explanations generated from text you select belong to you; the publisher claims no rights over that content beyond what is needed to operate the Service (technical processing by the providers listed in the privacy policy).
The publisher makes reasonable efforts to keep the Service available but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features of the Service may evolve, be modified, or be discontinued at any time, including due to the unavailability of a third-party provider (DeepL, Anthropic, Google AdMob, Supabase).
Translations and explanations are generated automatically by third-party AI services and may contain errors, approximations, or mistranslations. They are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute a professional or certified translation. The publisher shall not be held liable for decisions made based on this content, nor for indirect damages resulting from use of the Service — including any financial loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, or loss of data — to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms may be updated; the date at the top of the page shows the last change. We will notify you in the app of any significant change. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
